Amanda Burns and Francisco Fernandez Join C&A
We are pleased to announce that Amanda Burns and Francisco Fernandez have joined the firm as new associates.
Amanda obtained her J.D. and graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago in 2019. While in law school Amanda was an editor on the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal and served as an academic tutor for property and contract courses. Amanda’s interest in employment law grew through internships at the Chicago Public Schools Board of Education and the Attorney General’s Office where she had hands-on experience in the administrative grievance process as well as the Illinois Wage Payment Collection Act. Following law school, Amanda worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Eve Reilly in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division and then pursued plaintiff side employment law in private practice.
Francisco obtained his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2018. Following law school, Francisco worked as an associate attorney at a large New York based firm where he handled complex commercial litigation and then at a not-for-profit law firm where he handled civil rights, voting rights, and employment-discrimination matters.
We look forward to both Francisco and Amanda playing key roles in the practice. Welcome!
