Nicole Young joined Caffarelli & Associates in October 2021. Ms. Young earned her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law in May 2019, where she graduated with a certificate in Labor and Employment Law.
While in law school, Ms. Young’s interest in advocating for those in need led her to intern at several legal aid organizations, including Equip for Equality and Legal Aid Chicago. Ms. Young was also an honors scholar, a notes and comments editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review, and a teaching assistant for Professor Elizabeth De Armond, director of Chicago-Kent’s Legal Research & Writing Program. Notably, Ms. Young received the CALI award for having the highest grade in her class on employment relationships as well as the 2019 Gary Laser Professionalism Award for her work in Chicago-Kent’s employment law clinic from then clinic director, Richard Gonzalez. Ms. Young graduated law school in the top 3% of her class. Following graduation, Ms. Young was a staff attorney in the research division of the Illinois First District Appellate Court, where she drafted appellate orders.
